This week’s look at politics from a Scottish perspective has
even more of a Scot’s accent than usual as we review Alistair
Heather’s braw documentary on BBC Scotland,The Rebel Tongue.
Lesley tells folk folk to “Get on their bikes( if they can find
one)”, in the nicest possible way.
Yet again there seem to be growing differences emerging between
the Scottish and UK governments’ approaches to tackling Covid
19.
This time it’s over the methods they’re introducing to, test,
track, and contact as we exit lockdown. Just which government will
Scots trust more? The polls seem to suggest it won’t be the
Tories.
The latest Yougov polls are also good news for both the SNP and
the Greens, suggesting a significant pro independence majority in
Holyrood in 2021. Is this the kibbosh for,yet another,pro indy list
party? And should folk be trying to game the AMS voting system?
The BBC launched its new series,Our Finest Hours, linking the
Covid crisis explicitly to World War 2,and VE Day commemorations. I
watched it, so you don’t have to.
