Our next CommonSpace Forum takes on the hot topic of climate change and will be tackling how we convert words into actions, with immediate effect

In recent weeks, we have seen the Scottish Government back the Green New Deal, commit to cutting greenhouse emissions to net zero by 2045 and declare a climate emergency. But will these promises be backed up by a solid and credible action plan? How do we ensure it’s not empty rhetoric? There is no time to delay.

When: Thursday 30 May

What Time: 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Where: Kinning Park Complex

Price: £4 – via Eventbrite. If you are unable to pay a ticket at the moment, please get in touch to reserve a free place.

Speakers: TBC – get in touch if you have suggestions.

To guarantee your seat for the event, order your ticket in advance (any money raised goes towards the cost of organising CommonSpace Forums, including subsidising those who cannot pay for a ticket).

In the week running up to the event, CommonSpace will have a special week of coverage on climate change action. If you have ideas for what we should be covering or would like to contribute an article to our week of coverage, contact media@common.scot.

There is a free community meal at the Kinning Park Complex from 6-7pm. Everyone is welcome.
